Session Details

Here are answers to a few common queries about what to expect. The blue panel below, outlines timeline, location, and fee.
I also do group hypnosis, which is not in the theta state (though some do experience it), and that looks somewhat different than what I outline, here.

WHERE: I can conduct a session anywhere that is quiet and where the client will be undisturbed from family or pets.  That often looks like me in a chair beside the client, who is sitting on a couch in their home or my office.  The experience is meant to be enjoyed like a little vacation from the outside world, where concerns for others can be suspended as you workshop yourself.

WHEN: I am currently available weekday evenings after work, and weekends.

WHAT: After you share your Life Story and we take a break, I speak the induction to begin your trance portion of the session. We dialogue about what you see in your mind's eye.  I ask questions that facilitate your spoken description. During this time you are deeply relaxed and comfortable, laying down as if taking a nap.

After your important scenes, I directly address your Superconscious, Subconscious, or Higher Self.  I ask of this part of yourself, your questions, and queries regarding health issues, habits, and requests of insight and cooperation with healing and changes you seek.  After your questions are answered, the trance portion is concluded.  You will be prompted to feeling alert and wonderful. I send your recording to your email, or save it to your personal flash drive, if you like.

PREP: It helps to be hydrated and not hungry, during the session.  It is helpful but not necessary, to write down your questions and especially your health concerns, ahead of time.

POST-SESSION:  It is recommended to listen to your recording (not while driving, though!), or to contemplate, at this opportune time.  I have known people to want more more water and sleep, for a few days.  Just the act of deeply relaxing facilitates physiological adjustments. Its a nice time for stretching, meditation, pleasant walks, etc. Of course, I am not a physician, but anecdotally, I like people to know that feeling different is reported with this experience, especially when people intend so. The most common post-session response, is deep, restful sleep.

Helpful Details About Your Session

See below for session schedule, what to bring, and FAQs.

Session Schedule

1. For the first 2 hours, or so, greetings and sharing of your life's story and questions that you have for yourself.

2. Short break.

3. Deep relaxation induction, express visualizations, inquire of physical discomforts, and engage in conversations with the Higher Self.  Approximately 1.5-2hrs.  Longer times are planned for, as well.

4. Session concludes with some light processing while the recording is saved and sent to you.  A 3-5 hour session time, is typical- 3 hrs being most common.

What to Bring

1. A list of questions, on any topic, for your Higher Self.  Include any questions about health or behavioral concerns.  Ponder as you write your requests, in a quiet place, prior to your session.  One page is typical, but there is no structure or requirement. We can make your list together, if preferred.

2. A flash drive, if you wish, to save your recording.  Otherwise, I will email your MP3 recording.  You may bring your own recorder, or use your phone.  You will want to make sure that the recording device has enough memory for 3 hours.

3. A snack, if you like.  After your session, you may want to remain in a state of contemplation for the rest of your day, and you may want to plan your meals ahead, if traveling.

4. Plenty of water.  Caffeinated drinks and stimulants are not recommended.  Water, electrolytes and fluids considered to be healthy to the body, are encouraged.

5. Feel free to bring an eye-covering or neck pillow, if you have a favorite.

6. Dress comfortably and warmly.  For instance, I get chilly when I nap, so I wear warm socks, a hat, and bring my warm booties to my sessions. Better to have them and not want them.

Post-Session

1. Arrange time for rest and any physical adjustments of the body.  Ideally, find time for a healthy sleep cycle, hydration, and healthy diet. Such considerations being a priority for 3 nights.

2. Listen to your recording again, if you can, during this 3 night period. You may hear or understand something anew, or differently.

3. Never listen to your recording while driving, operating machinery, or doing any risky activity- as you may  relax into the trance state while listening.

Location

1. I live in the Albany/Rensselaer area, with convenient access to I90 and I87.  My home-based session space is quiet and cozy.  Please let me know if you have any pet allergies.  My session area is on the second floor.

2. I am available to travel to a client's home or nearby hotel, for a session which starts mid-morning, weather permitting.  Depending on distance travelled, a reasonable travel fee, may be agreed upon.  I am sometimes in the NW CT area, which would facilitate my availability.  Some styles of hypnosis are quite agreeable to online sessions.  Please feel free to inquire if you think online is a good option for you.

3. Alternative locations for the session must be quiet and comfortable (like for a restful nap), and free of distractions by family or pets. Bathroom access must be convenient and also free of distractions. The session space is considered a private sanctuary during the induction and trance portion.  There is more flexibility during the life story portion, though I want you to feel like this is your time and your day- with undivided attention to yourself, your goals, and the time to workshop your life as you want it.  A place at your home is adequate if you can shut off your daily cares and feel like you are on a short vacation from work and family.  Your focused attention to yourself, is necessary to accomplish your intention.

Fees

1. Session fees are waved if you would like one to count toward my next level of certification.  Standard session fee is $199 USD.   There may be an agreed upon payment of travel expenses, case by case, if traveling to your home or meeting place, is required.

About Me

Hello! My friends call me, Jenney.  Welcome!  I like all things science and I enjoy the research and field study components of environmental science and biology.   I am persistent in the inquiry of interdisciplinary science, both professionally and for fun.

My career is focused on bio-science, and also honing my skills as a hypnosis and NLP practitioner.  Prior to college, I immersed myself in a rewarding career as a therapeutic wilderness instructor.   Before counseling distressed teens and young adults, I snowboarded competitively and appeared with corporate sponsors.

In 2007, I began my Associate of Science with a biology focus, at Northwest Connecticut Community College.  My Bachelors degree was completed at Mt. Holyoke College, with a major in Biology and a Minor in Sustainable Development. I was a Legislative Intern for the CT House of Representatives.  I completed my field studies for MHC, in New York, Utah and Nevada.

Other interests include caving,  digging for fossils and minerals, drawing illustrations, and writing on scientific topics. I love to reset with the peace and solitude of the forest and backcountry.

I moved from the Rocky Mountains, to the Berkshire-Catskill-Adirondack region. The move aligned me closer to family and professional goals. These include steps and classes towards a Masters in Genetic Counseling, learning about mushroom cultivation and foraging, advancing levels in QHHT, and practicing Neo-Ericson hypno-therapy approaches.

Well that's my likes and life's adventures, in a nutshell.  I look forward to hearing your life's story and what you love to do!
